Situational Analysis (2011)
To gain a comprehensive view of peer specialist recovery knowledge and training needs, NAPS gathered and reviewed information nationwide. This review resulted in a Situational Analysis that was released in April of 2011.
Recovery Curriculum Outline (2012)
The Situational Analysis identified gaps in skills and knowledge that could be addressed through training. An expert panel made recommendations about topic areas for a curriculum on recovery for working peer specialists. The Content Outline was released in 2012.
Recovery Curriculum (2014)
The Recovery to Practice training for working peer support providers was developed by peers, reviewed by peers, tested by peers, and is being delivered through in-person training sessions by peers. The training is now available. Visit the Curriculum page for more information.
